Director of Diversity & Inclusion
Danielle Carr serves as the director of diversity and inclusion for Polsinelli which is an Am Law 100 law firm with more than 800 attorneys in 20 offices. In her role, she is responsible for cultivating a diverse and inclusive workforce at the firm. Danielle attended the University of Michigan Law School where she served as President of the law school student senate from 1988-89.
Before joining Polsinelli, Danielle was a director for a large St. Louis law firm, and prior to that a managing director for Major, Lindsey & Africa, the nation’s largest legal recruiting firm. She also spent six years as executive director for the Chicago Committee on Minorities in Large Law Firms, where she was responsible for planning and implementing diversity programming for approximately 50 of Chicago’s largest law firms. Danielle’s professional history also includes thirteen years of corporate litigation practice.
Danielle’s professional/community affiliations include being a member of the Black Women Lawyers of Chicago Association (Chair, Scholarship Board 2017 – present); lifetime member of the Mound City Bar Association (President-Elect, 2018; Executive Board, 2014 – present); National Bar Association Region VIII Director, 2015 – present); Bar Association of Metropolitan St Louis (Minorities in the Legal Profession section member); St. Louis Diversity Job Fair (Steering Committee, 2008 – present); Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission Hearing Board Member; Missouri Minority Counsel Program (Steering Committee 2012 – present); Association of Law Firm Diversity Professionals; Gateway Chapter of The Links, Incorporated; Jack & Jill of America (St Louis Chapter Treasurer, 2014 – 2017 ); as well as, multiple affinity group bar associations.
