As Lane Powell’s Director of Professional Development and Diversity, Jill Long provides leadership and strategic direction for the firm’s professional development and diversity programs.
Jill oversees the design, implementation and monitoring of a wide variety of programs related to the professional development of the firm’s attorneys, increasing Lane Powell’s diversity and fostering an inclusive work environment.
With Jill at the helm of these efforts, Lane Powell has:
- Earned 100 percent on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s Corporate Equality Index
- Ranked number 18 on The American Lawyer’s inaugural list of “The Best Places for Women”
- Ranked number 30 on Law360’s list of “100 Best Law Firms for Female Attorneys”
In addition to serving as the Director of Professional Development and Diversity, Jill maintains an active land use practice. She advocates for clients involved in a variety of projects including property development, zone and comprehensive plan changes, legislative lobbying, design review, variances and appeals. Jill has appeared successfully before city and county boards throughout Oregon and Washington, the Oregon Land Use Board of Appeals, the Oregon Department of Transportation and the Columbia River Gorge Commission.
